M’haeli Situation Worsened by Uncertainty

While Thres’hata, the capital city of M’haeli, cleans its wounds from the recent terrorist attack, old wounds are threatening to tear the planet apart. Rival factions that have been under royal rule are beginning to vie for power. Targi Morfosa, the first cousin of the deceased king, is the only known surviving member of the royal family. Many claim that his relation to the family is too distant to make him a successor to the throne, and are calling for a new government.

Though there is a loyal following to the Morfosa family, they are a vast minority, composing only about ten percent of the population. Today, while rescue workers continued to clean up debris from the palace attack, a skirmish broke out on the other side of the city. It is reported that a dozen people were killed, and that almost all of them were royal loyalist. Life on M’haeli seems to be continuing, but the future of this now-unstable planet is far from certain.
